Halloween is a secular holiday celebrated around the world on 31st October each year. We don’t know for sure where the name derives from but is believed to be a variant of “All Hallows Even(evening)

Whilst some religious groups are opposed to celebrating Halloween most people treat it as a time to have some fun.

No one seems to know exactly why people started to send Halloween cards but there were thousands of commercially produced cards at the turn of the 20th Century.

In recent years Halloween has become a popular subject for modern day card makers and as a result there are lots of Halloween Rubber Stamps available for purchase.

What you need to remember is that you are not buying a rubber stamp just for Halloween cards - a lot of the designs can be used on other cards such as Fall cards, birthday cards, etc.

Many rubber stampers like to keep updating their rubber stamp collections and often get rid of their older stamps which may hardly have been used.

When buying a Halloween Rubber Stamp, as with any other stamp, consider how you will use it before purchasing - many card makers feel that if they will make at least 5 different cards designs from any one stamp then it is worth buying it. However just as in clothes sometimes we see a stamp and just fall head over heels in love it and, no matter the cost, and no matter how many times we will use it we just have to have it!
